We have a Ricoh printer, actually two of them and both are listed in the directory. Today, everyones PC started saying the printer name was invalid, and would not even open the printer properties. I checked the network settings on the printer, restarted it and then began deleting the printer from each workstation and readding it.
The problem is that some of our computers (all are on the same domain) do not see ANY of the printers in the directory. The computers that do see them will add them and print just fine, but I can't add them back to the systems that fail to see any printers in the directory. Also, when it's searching the directory - it takes a LONG time, then says "No items match the current search"
What's going on here? Why are some seeing printers in the directory and some are not?
Another thing I just noticed: Some computers still have the printer installed, and are printing fine to it -- but when I try to search the directory, no printers show up...yet it's installed on the particular system and working fine.
