I am trying to help a local church setup a network. They have four computers running windows xp. They had all four connected to a Linksys BEFSR41 router. Now they want to add wireless capability. In order for them to have the wireless reach where they want, they can't just replace the router with their wireless one. It needs to be added to the network but there are no open ports on the router. They were donated a couple items to try to help. They have a Linksys NH1005 network Hub and a Compex MicroHub/8 TP1008C 8 port ethernet repeater.

Is there any way to connect the netowrk like they want with the equipment listed?

How far do they want the signal to go, that they can't replace the current router? The hub will give you the extra ports that you need but 2 routers on the same subnet can be tricky to say the least.

Since you are asking...

I suggest that they stay with a wired connection. If you are not fully secure there might be a crook that would like to access the data. Churches have phone and address's of people that must be protected.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
