Slow network browsing

I have 2 PC's networked at home. PC 1 XP (Athlon 1700+, 512MB, 3C905 NIC) PC 2 2000pro (Cel 366a, 128MB, 3C509 NIC) PC1 shares my DSL to PC 2 via ICS (I know ICS sux and I should get a router)
Only protocol is TCP/IP.
For some reason, if I browse PC 2 on the network from PC 1 it is unbearably slow.
If I browse PC1 from PC 2 it's fine, no slow down.
Is this a hardware problem or could there be some settings that may ammend the situation?

when using ICS in win98se, i had a similar problem: every time i would browse the network or the internet, it would only go at about 5k/sec. after many different uninstalling and reinsatlling of drivers and ICS, i checked the properties of my NIC and noticed the card on the host PC was set to half duplex. i changed that to full duplex and everything worked great. i would recommend checking your NIC settings and going from there. it sounds like PC2 may be the problem in your case.
