Just got Windows XP. Everything with the exception of the file transfering between cpu's. 1 got one with winxp the other win98. When I transfer files between the 2 computers thru the network it takes a long time. eg. 1 35 meg file was telling me it would take 143 minutes to transfer. Can anybody help. pls. It used to take seconds between my other 2 computers. Also, this computer is brand new I had a clean install of windows XP.

When transfer from XP-->ME, it takes long to complete the transfer and most of the time the system of ME is responding slow. Even the mouse cannot move smoothly. I guess it takes quite a lot of system resources? When transfer from ME-->XP, everything is normal. The transfer rate is OK and the system of ME doesn't slow down. I have tried to update the NIC driver but the result is the same.
