Simulating a WAN

CPU/Ram: athlon 1500 / 1 gig ram

how do you use windows 2000 in a login environment and connect to two routers that are simulating a WAN connection?

IE: if win2000 is on LAN1 - how can you login to LAN2 to the win2000 machine on LAN1?

Will DHCP work or do you have to shut it off?
