Shiva VPN Client through Linksys Router

I am trying to connect a Shiva VPN client through a Linksys Cable router, to our Shiva VPN gateway. The client establishes a connection, but when it sends the authentication info (SecurID), the client times out on the negotiation with the gateway, then proceeds to request the SecurID info again. The client uses a Shiva Smart Tunnel (SST) rather than IPSec. Are there specific configuration settings for the Linksys router which can be made to allow SST tunnels through? I've got the latest firmware (1.40.1).
