I am experienced in Win98 / 2000 etc, however recently bought XP professional.
I am able to share new folders, which I create to my other Win98SE boxes on the network, however when I share out my personal accounts “Desktop” folder (also the my document folder) and try to access from the Win98 box it says the “access denied” message. Does anyone know how to solve this? (I have the guest account enabled and also have an account created with the same user name my win98se logs on with)
Also on win98 you are able to password protect shares by selecting it in the shares menu, however in win xp there does not seem to be this feature? Is this true or how do I protect my shares?
