This is the situation. There is a DSL Modem (has static IP address X) that is connected to a Sonicwall router (Firewall) with the static IP address already inputted. I need to connect another LAN to use that static IP address. What do I do? I cannot touch the Sonicwall router's settings because I am not allowed!
My idea was to connect another router (call it NEW router) to the DSL modem using the static IP settings. I would then connect the Sonicwall router to the NEW router. And also connect my new LAN to the NEW router. The problem is that the LAN IP range and the WAN IP range for the NEW router cannot be the same. Is there a device that allows this? Thanks all.
