sharing printer over hub switch

Specs: Windows XP
i'm have 7 computers and a DSL modem attached to a switch and all my computers are online but i want to share a printer on one of my computers,and whenever i set an IP for sharing computers the internet connection will disappear,can i share this printer without setting an IP on computers,they all are in the same workgroup,but no IP has set,

It sounds like you have some serious issues going on here aside from the printer.

First, get your LAN and internet working properly, then you can share your printer.

Describe your setup

ex:

internet >> router >> clients

Are your clients getting their TCP/IP settings from DHCP, or are you assigning them statically?

it was a static Ip,but I was able to make it work by applying IP adresses in a row with my the IP of my DSL modem,
