Can you describe the setup in more detail, like how many pcs/laptops do you have??

I assume you don't have a router and are trying to setup ICS?

Sounds like there is an IP conflict.

Is this a wireless modem or wireless router?

Well you need to give the network card in your laptop an ip address.

You need to find out,

1) The ip address on the console
2) The LAN ip address of the laptop it will be something like 192.168.0.10 or 192.168.1.10 etc...
3) you need to find out the ip address of the modem (or router) google it.
4) You need to find out the ip adress of the other laptop

To find the ip address go to start / run and type cmd
then type ipconfig

Get Analogx's proxy.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
