my friend let me use his wireless network, it work great with my computer but i have had to buy a really strong receiver because he live at the other end of the street. at the moment im using my desktop PC, i also have a laptop and want the internet on that to. i have tried sharing the internet many ways but its just not having any of it.
the netgear router IP is 192.168.0.1 so when i go to Network Connections - then right click on my internet connection then go to propities and try and share it, it says they is already something with the same IP
so i want to share this internet connection through Ad Hoc because i also have my small wireless adapter plugged in my pc.
so im basically receiving the internet from a powerful wireless adapter and WANT TO SHARE that internet connection to my laptop through Ad Hoc (using my small netgear adapter) OR Ethernet
Please help its recking my head
cheers Dan

By default ICS uses 192.168.01, therefore you need to change the IP Addressing in the Wireless Router.

If you can't run ICS because of the IP address issue then consider a free proxy such as Analogx's proxy.

Feel free to have a look on following tutorials. If you have cable/DSL Internet connection at home, get a wireless or wired router to set up a wireless network or wired ethernet network. If not, you can enable Internet connection sharing on computer to share Internet.
