check your firewall(s). sounds like a filter ie firewall on host or pc computer is stopping some, but not all, traffic from going to the pc.

Knowing the correct answer and giving a correct answer, are two different things

Make sure, one of Your Ipconfig for your nic that connected to other computer dont have gate way...Just one set have gateway, the one that connected to internet...

Go to run, type cmd, then type ipconfig
You can see from there...

your ip is wrong.

PC with internet should be
internet nic = x.x.x.1
2nd nic = x.x.y.1
crossover cable between internet pc nic and pc nic.
PC nic = x.x.y.2

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.

Here are My config :

First Nic that connected to internet :

ip :192.168.1.2
netmask :255.255.255.0
gateway :192.168.1.1

dns :xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Scnd Nic :
ip :10.0.0.2
netmask :255.0.0.0
