Hi,
Right, Ive been having trouble sharing some files between 2 computers. My home computer has XP Home installed, while my work computer has XP Professional. Ive got a network up and running successfully using a crossover cable, and it all works fine besides one thing.
On my home PC, I have my mp3 collection in a folder called "Music", and its all organised into many subfolders. "Music" is shared on the network, and the box allowing network users to change my files is ticked. I can access the folders and files on the work PC and play the mp3s for the most part. The problem is, and its rather confusing, is that about 90% of the files play fine, but there are about 10% that when clicked on only produce an "Access Denied" message. I have no idea why some files play fine, and why others cant be accessed. They cannot be copied, moved, deleted or edited in any way.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Try 'unsharing' the shared folder on ur Home PC and delete the share in My Network connections on the work one.
Now reboot both PC's, share the folder again and re-establish the share. This often solves these type of glitches.
GoodLuck
