I recently purchased a router to share a dsl connection in my home. The setup is as follows:
Ethernet connection from dsl box to router
Ethernet connections from router to three separate computers. If I leave the router on its default settings, just plug everything in and go, I can get internet on all three computers, but I can't access things like webmail accounts on two of the computers. The only computer that works perfectly through the router is the original computer I had the dsl line connected to alone. However, the two other computers' connections work perfectly if I connect them directly to the dsl box (one at a time)...meaning I can send and receive email, etc.
One more note...if I try to set up the router with my information, NOTHING works. I get no internet for any computer.
Anyone have an idea of what may be causing the problem? I'm thinking I may have some firewall issues, or maybe some settings differ in the original computer, allowing it to work through the router. Thanks for any help.

It "sounds" like (I can't be sure) your having a problem with IP resolution. Have you configured your router to allow port forwarding? (Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about - but I guess saying something is better than saying nothing).
