Hi,

I am thinking about buying a laptop but would first like to check that this setup would allow me to share my dial up internet:

PHONE DESKTOP WI FI USB WI FI LAPTOP
LINE -> With ME -> ACCESS PT -> CARD -> With XP

If so, do I just use the netowkring wizard to connect them as if it were a cabled network?

Thanks,
Guy

Sorry, the link above is:

Phone line to desktop (with Win Me)
Desktop has dial-up access
Desktop to Wi Fi USB access point
That then sends signals to the WiFi card
WiFi card is in my laptop

You would have to setup Internet Connection sharing, but that should work.

Thanks.

It was just I read somewhere that Wi Fi ONLY works with broadband, but assume they meant it's better with broadband. I know it'll crawl if I use dial up but better than nothing I figure.

Guy.
