One machine with xp the other with 2000. They are networked with shared files and printing enabled. As admin, I can print from XP to printer on 2000 machine but limited users get error. They can see the printer and select it but get "failed to print" message. Any help is appreciated.

I use a small Win2K system as a printserver on my home network. To enable any clients to print I have the Guest account enabled with a blank password. Otherwise I would have to create a separate user account/password to match each client machine/user. This way any additional client I add to the network can attach to and use the network printers without me having to mess about in the 2k machine. I would not recommend this setup in a work environment but for home use, enabling the guest account is a simple solution.
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.
