I work in a small school and we have 2 PC exactly the same running windows XP pro. Both PCs are connected to the network. I have attached a HP printer to one PC and want to share it so students can print to it from the other PC. I go though the steps of sharing the printer – all is fine. On the other PC I connect to the printer fine and can print. However when I restart the PC with the printer connected to it becomes unshared. I have tried a number of things including turning the firewall off, but this does not help. If I share it again – all works fine, until I reboot. Do you have any suggestions

Emm..By right it should still work after rebooting. Will suggest you to do Windows update to get the system up-to-date, also use antivirus and anti-spyware program to scan the PC (just afraid it's affected by worm/virus/spyware).

Also try to turn on the printer before turning on the PC. See whether it works..

Trying to help.. :)
