shared folder issue

I set write permission to my shared folder. however, some user can put a file into my shared folder (write) but some cannot. Any idea? thanks you.

You need to set up user accounts on the computer that has the shared folder that have the same user names and passwords as the user accounts that are used to log on to client PC's

Is this a Workgroup or a Domain setup? What are the NTFS and Share permissions on the folder?

Most likely you did not configure the user permission correctly, take a look here on how to share file with user/group permission in XP pro..
