Specs: Linux, Pentium D and 1GB
Hello sir,
I have been working with computationally intensive programs for my research (mostly in linux PCs). we have six other PCs in our lab running on Windows (XP, Vista and 2000). All systems are connected via ethernet cable.
Now the question, Is it possible to share other systems' resources for my computations? If yes, how to do that?
With Thanks,

It is possible but it is not straight forward as you will need specialised software to do it, possibly software writen specifically for you application.

Do a search on google for distributed Processing. You might also look up grid computing which is a method of distributed proccessing.

The computer I am typing this on is part of a distributed processing system running on behalf of the University Of Washington which is not bad considering I am five thousand miles away in the UK. A similar thing can be done over a LAN.
