I have a desktop directly connected to a wireless router, and the machine is running XP SP1. I have a laptop running 98se and is on the network wirelessly. The laptop has a printer connected to it, and I want to be able to print from the desktop running XP. My problem is I can't see the printer on the network. I have file/printer shraing enabled on the laptop, but I think its a 98 vs XP problem. I'm not sure what I should do, any help?
Thanks.

can you ping the 98 workstation?
file and print sharing enabled on 98?
sharing the printer on 98?
can 98 pint xp station?
xp firewall disabled?Golly gee wilerkers learn to Internet Search

Your printer IS shareable, because I've got mine shared. I have a printer connected to a desktop running Windows 98, and my XP laptop can print just fine.
Here's how I achieved it:
On your desktop PC, go to Start>Run. Type in \\<Network Name of laptop> and press enter. For example if the laptop's name was COMPB, just type \\COMPB in the run box and press enter. On the window that pops up, there should be all shared folders, files, and printers. Right-click your printer and click Connect. Let windows install drivers. After that, it should work, just print like you normally would. Let us know if it dosn't.
If God has to teach someone a lesson more than once to get them to learn it, it just goes to show how stubborn they are.
