hi everyone
I shared internet connections with w2k and win98 using SygateHome Networking. Both of my computers can surf on the internet.
W2k is set as server(has access to the internet), win98 set as client, connection depend on the server. I installed the printer CANON BJC6000 on the win98. i can print from win98, but i can't print from the w2k.Does anyone can help me solve my problem.
thank you for your help

Although you didn't specify it, I'm willing to bet your boxes can't see each other in the network neighborhood either.
Honestly, it sounds like the protocols aren't all there. You'll need to make sure you have file and printer sharing for Microsoft networks (on the 98 machine) and Client for Microsoft Networks installed on both, and make sure the Win2K machine can see the 98 box in the network neighborhood. If they can't see each other, that's your problem. Solve that, and printing's a breeze.
I like to use both IP and IPX, setting the IPX to frame type 802.2. Of course, that's just my personal opinion. IP is really the only one necessary. IPX is just the best one for gaming :)
One other thing: make sure the print driver on the 2K machine doesn't try to control the printer, only end data to it. Some custom drivers try to send control signals down the line, and the system sharing the printer(s) doesn't know what to do with them so it gets confused. I've seen that with certain Epson packages.
Best of luck,
Chase
