I have verizon dsl with a westell 327w modem-router.What i would like to do is share the internet with a second computer upstairs so my grandkids can enjoy the net on my old computer. I've installed a netgear wg311.v3 adapter in the old one. the new computer is hard wired to the modem. What is my next step or is this even doable? Thanks for any help.

Buy a SOHO router and a network patch cable long enough to reach from the router to the second PC. If that's unreasonable because you'd have a cable running up stairs and around corners etc, get a wireless SOHO router and buy a wireless NIC for the second PC.
