Comment:

I've 2 pc's running win xp and want to share the internet connection.

My adsl connection goes into a ISP modem/router which then feeds out in the form of 1 USB lead.

How can I get to share this connection?

Ian

The Modem/Router you mentioned is atually just a Modem.

Buy a Router, install it between the current Modem and computer, now just run a cable from the router to the 2nd computer.

Install a NIC (Network Interface Card) if you don't already have one. In fact your USB internet connection will be faster if you use a NIC instead of USB.

The latest rage is "wireless", before doing it check the Networking forum here. 90+% of the problems listed are with wireless.

Run the wire, cheap, quick and 0 headaches.
