I am setting up a small business inside my house. I am using two computers running XP profesional. I have a DSL modem connected to a router and both computers are connected to the internet. I am trying to set up the most SECURE way to network these computers together while making sure NO ONE can access our information. We want to share files along with printers. How would I go about this. Also we will be adding one more computer in the near future and our router does have a firewall built in. Please Help
Tyler

Internet >> Router >> PC's
thats your anatomy, your PC's are invisible as far as the internet goes, only thing that exists is your router. so that solves intrusion from internet
now i dunno whether your talkin about intrusion from people on your own network, but if you are install a firewall on all PC's, and be careful not to share folders/drives on the network

I am not conserned with anyone on my network or within my business seeing the files on any computers because it is all work related at this point. I have important info. that outsiders (hackers) can't see. I need to make sure it is secure from them. If I am (tell me if I am or not), then how would I go about sharing files and printers between the two computers? Thanks for the help
Tyler

rite your routers built in firewall keeps outsiders out, just be careful when configuring it not to map any ports
to share files, basically you will need to run the network setup wizard located in control panell >> network connections
u want the home or small office option
to share drivers/folders/printers you will have to look into setting shares on your network
right click on your selected items and go to sharing
if you get stuck and need step by step help, email me and ill take u through it
