Comment:

I have a Win 2K Server set up as a domain controller and 3 PCs with Win XP Pro. I'm using static IPs. Currently there is not internet connection to the network, however I would like to connect to the internet using SDSL. How can I set this up, preferably with a Linksys or other low cost router? Thanks for your advice.

Get your DSL system in, a DSL modem will come with it...
Put in a firewall or router, Linksys works fine...set the router so WAN in DHCP, that will pick up the ip from the DSL modem...

Then you can set the LAN side of your router to send out a DHCP signal on the 192.168.1.x
IP range...make that 100 or higher...now all your computers on your network will get the DHCP from the router...

Leave your servers as static IP and set those IP's below 100...

HOpe this helps
Steve
