Hi people,

I hope that someone of great wisdom can help me here. I am hoping to be able to set up my home PC (running WINXPPro) as an Email server for personal use.

I have copies of some email server software for my system (MailEnable, Mercury Mail Transport System) but I must confess to being confused as to how to make them work.

I am running my PC in a workgroup on a TCP/IP based LAN, connecting to the internet through a cable modem infront of a router. Although I have a dynamic Ip from my ISP I have subscribed to a DNS translator which translates my IP into an address of TENDROUSBEASTIE.MYFTP.ORG.

I have followed all the instructions I have found for running the software servers from my machine but I can't get it to work much.

The server software generates a welcome email, which I am able to download with my Email Client (Opera 7), but it won't recive any emails I send to it.

What I would really like would be if someone could either give me a tutorial on how to configure thing s so it works properly or give me a link to somewhere that does.
