Setting up a wireless Network with a Media Pl

Specs: Windows Vista
I am downsizing to an apartment and want to set up a network that will stream my media content from my WD Hard drive to my stereo system and Television. I currently have a wireless modem for the computer network, an apple airport to stream itunes to the stereo and a WD HD Media Player, however, I want a setup that allows all these to talk to the hard drive without muliple modems. I am also ditching my desktop so will use my laptop to set up a modem but will then allow it to run itself. Any suggestions?

I think you may be confusing a modem with a router unless we're talking about a combination unit (which are becoming more common) that is a modem, a router and a wireless access point all in one.

If you could give us the make/model of your "wireless modem for the computer network" we could figure out if it's a modem, a router, or a combo unit. This would help us to advise you on what you'll need to do what it is you wish to do.
