Newbie here, and I need advice ion setting up a wireless network between two desktops and two laptops.
The network will NOT have a internet connection.
What I need is advice on what hardware to buy routers and pci cards etc.
I need for the computers to be able to connect with each other and be able to upload/download and share files between one another, is this possible.
Thanks in advance.

You can get whatever you want, get at least 54mps, I think newer faster systems are coming out for a higher price, but you really don't need all that speed anyway unless you are transferring a lot of largre files often. You don't need to buy all the same brand as most will work together.

Remener just beaucse you arent on the internet doesn't mean you can avoid securing your network, make sure you to look into the encryption otption most routers have, don't broadcast your router name and I would make available only the number of ip adress you need for the amount of computers you have on your network.
