I am attempting setup a VPN Server on my home PC. I'd like to be able to connect while I am at work. As well as have friends and family connect if I ever need to help them remotely. I tried the built in Windows XP Accept Incoming Connections. It works within my LAN and on my iPhone. But when I am at Work I cannot connect. I have also tried OpenVPN, and the same issue happens.
I also setup CopSSH and I can connect via Putty while at work. Which is fine while I am work to access my Home PC. But I am looking for a VPN Solution if possible for work and to help support my friends and family. I'd like them to be attached to my network, not via SSH though.
So I am thinking my Work Firewall is blocking my outgoing VPN attempts. I do use the Cisco Client to connect to 3 other VPNs while at work. All using IPSEC over UDP(NAT/PAT).
What are my options here?

Do you have a SOHO router at home?
If not, are you using the built in windows fireall on the box in question?
If you use a SOHO router, you have to port forward the appropriate port (for RDC it's 3389) to the IP of the PC that will be on the receiving end.
If you're using the builtin windows firewall, well, I guess you'd have to open that port. I can't say for sure as I have never used the builtin windows firewall.
