I need help getting all the settings set correctly. If there is a website that answers my questions please advise. I have Qwest DSL (Cisco 678 modem) coming into my Linksys wireless-G router. From the linksys (port 1) I have a cat 5 ethernet connected to my NIC in the PC running WinMe. I have a Dell laptop running XP with a wireless card. How do I get everything connected and running smoothly? I believe you call my setup a residential gateway. ICS is now on my PC and if I get rid of it I lose my internet connection.

I would use the router as a gateway and DHCP server. It would basically use the IP that Qwest assigns you. It would then be used to give each of your PCs an IP that is not routable (192.168.x.x). I believe with this setup you will no longer need ICS.
