Setting up my first network. Have 2 XP/Home, 1 XP/PRO.
Network seems to work fine on all 3 computers. I can see
the shared files on all 3 computers. The trouble is, my
new desktop(XP/Home) keeps giving me an error when trying
to open my shared files. The error says: "sharedfiles// IS
NOT ACCESSABLE. YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THIS
NETWORK RESOURCE. CONTACT THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THIS SERVER
TO SEE IF YOU HAVE ACCESS PERMISSIONS." Then at the bottom
of the error message , it also says,"NOT ENOUGH SERVER
STORAGE IS AVAILABLE TO PROCESS THIS COMMAND."My old computer(XP/Pro) shares folders on all 3 computers.
I just hooked up a new laptop(XP/Home) and it shares
folders on all 3 computers. My new desktop(Gateway-
XP/Home), won't give permission to open the shared files.
I've been working on this for 5 weeks now, read 2 books on
the matter, been all over the internet looking for
solutions, to no avail. I've called tech support, been
thru Help and Support on my computer, talked to everyone I
can think of that knows anything about computers and no
one can figure it out. Would sure like to know if anyone
out there could give me some fresh ideas?

You need to post a bit more info. Does the system having problems have correct IP settings? Post its ipconfig /all results (type ipconfig /all into a dos window).
get the ip of another computer in the network and try ping IPOFOTHERMACHINE and see if it replies.
