Setting on NIC??

I have two workstations with 100/10 Mbps NIC's. There is a setting that is called "Early TX threshold", this setting is set at 10 by default, but it can be changed either higher or lower. What is this setting exactly?

the default setting should work fine

you can change that setting, there is no any problem, I recomend setting it at 128 to improove performance¡
