how do i set up my laptop with two 802.11g/b wireless connections; one at work, which is an NT domain network, and one at home which is just a workgroup network, not an NT domain. I am adminstator on my own laptop but not on the work network; so how can i tell it when to log on to home network, work network, or just the PC, with differant logons for each (as i am admin of home and pc only but not work). need to have three logon options: connect to work network, connect to home network, and just log on to PC w/o network. work is NT domain, home is just workgroup, PC is obviously none. thanx.
The things that come to those that wait may be the things left behind by those who got there first.

Problem here is you can't be a member of a workgroup and a domain.
You could setup a multiboot on your laptop and choose which you want ie domain or home
OR name your home network the same as the nt domain. This will give you workgroup access when at home. You would logon locally when at home and logon the domain when at work.
Without a multiboot you can't set your laptop to logon to a domain and a workgroup. You can always logon locally so you have two of the three you want.
Golly gee wilerkers everyone. Learn to Internet Search

i cannot simply same log on to: such and such
???
what would i do when i am using the laptop in a place where i am neither around work or home??
how would i go about setting it up for both?? wouldnt it always or never try to log on to NT domain, depending on the setting in the nwtwrok connections control panel option??

I believe you can do this with 2 different hardware profiles. One configured for the domain, the other for the workgroup. Then you just load the appropriate one for where you are.

The profiles would work (be a pain to setup but would work). The easiest way to do it would be to use a third party sw like ipswitch. it allows you to store multiple nw configs and toggle betweek them. You are 'supposed' to have to reboot when switching but, I've always been able to do it without doing it.
