Hi,

I need help configuring my router and server so that the server will be accessible from the public. I have written a server program that I would like to be accessible to others. I have a network at home, that is connected to a router (486 running the Linux BBI Agent). The server will be accessible by only one port.

Thank you!
Dale.

setup VPN on the server and open ports on the router for VPN. For more information, go to http://www25.brinkster.com/ChicagoTech

You can forward the necessary port from the router to the server. Or you can enable a DMZ connection. On the server, run a firewall.
