separate router/firewall config

I have a netopia Cayman router that is connnected to a Sonicwall firewall. The router was provided by my ISP, however, I want to use my Sonicwall as my firewall/gateway. So I have contacted my ISP to turn off NAT on the router, so I can filter trafic with my Sonicwall. The ISP has given me an IP block of address (two public static IP's, same network) for my router and Sonicwall. My question is what LAN address do I give my Netopia router? I would assume that the two addresses that were given to me by the ISP would accomodate the WAN side of the Sonicwall, and the WAN side of the Netopia. I also know that I need to give my Sonicwall an internal private address so my PC's can access the internet; however, do I also assign a LAN private IP on the Netopia router also?

What's the use of having the ISP-provided router in the configuation you described? Assuming that you set up the Netopia in Bridge mode, the idea is to "...allow the workstations on your LAN to have public addresses directly on the internet." (Netopia web site). Is this really what you want? Ok then.... For the Netopia: 192.168.1.254 (default) 255.255.255.0 The other device (behind the Netopia)needs to have an internal address on the 192.168.1.0 network with 192.168.1.254 as the gateway. Yes, the public IP's are for WAN.
