I am writing a script to do some monitoring on my network, and I would like to have it send an email when it gets certain results. Does anyone know a way to do this?
Basically you either generate a text file and use it as a parameter and run Sendmail or you send the information as a series of strings to the sendmail programme.
Instructions are with the application and it very easy to use, lending itself to any script application.
