Sorry for the cliche, but I am new to wireless and have an issue I have been working on and reading about for a month or so now.

I have installed a Linksys WRT54G (wireless access point, switch, & router). Directly connected to this is a single computer that currently has the printer attached. I have a laptop and main desktop that are connected via wireless. I use WEP to secure the network.

Here is my new issue. My brother-in-law will be living with us for "awhile" and he uses a laptop with wireless card built-in. I want to allow him to access the internet through my WAP, but I absolutely do not want him to be able to access any of my computers. How do I segregate his computer from my network, yet give him full internet capabilities.

Thanks so much
Greg

In your router do a mac to ip reservation. This way he gets the same ip address every time.

Next put zonealarm on your pcs and put his ip address in the untrusted/deny zone. ZA will block any type of access from his ip address

I've looked through the manual and every screen of the router setup and can't find this feature on my router (Linksys WRT54G). Also, I did find some websites that referenced this topic and they indicated that this model doesn't have this feature. Is there another way to do the same thing?

Yes, and I've put them on all my PC's, but it only filters specific IP's and I can't figure out how to make this router assign this single computer a static IP. Every time he connects, it's something different right now.
