IS IT POSSIBLE TO SEGMENT A LAN USING A D-LINK ROUTER?IF YES PLEASE KINDLY ASSIST ME ON HOW TO GO ABOUT IT.I HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED TO DO THAT WERE AM DOING MY INDUSTRIAL ATTACHMENT.

First off, on the internet, etiquette (aka 'netiquette') states that typing in all cap's is the same thing as yelling. Not to mention it's hard to read.
Yes it's possible. One would simply use the router to create a route between different subnets.
Ex:
Subnet 1 = 192.168.1.0/24
Subnet 2 = 192.168.3.0/24Router would need to be between the two subnets and have a route going from Subnet 1 to Subnet 2 and vice versa (if you want the traffic to flow in both directions).
As to step-by-step instructions on how to configure the routes, well, read the manual and do some reading/research on routes and routing. There's a plethora of info freely available on the internet and google is your friend.

thanx for the info man.but i was wondering how possible it is using a d-link router.for a cisco router yeah i know its easy..but i have never worked with a d-link router.hey thanx so much for the info once more
