SCSI terminator

Can somebody explain the reason why scsi back up drives need a scsi termininator? I love this forum...thank you to everybody for replying back to everyone. makes learning alot of fun.

A terminator "absorbs" the signals. Otherwise they would echo back causing bus contention. It is not just tape backup units that need termination.

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.
