Comment: I asked the following before: "Is there a way to schedule a maped network drive using task scheduler. For the purpose of a backup schedule, I only want to map a network drive two days out of the week. I hope that this is possible." And I got the following response: "Yes there is, type in your mapping command and save it as a batch file, eg. map.bat and pick this file in the task scheduler." Now I have the question of what is the mapping command (for DOS?)or how do I do this? I need more help/details. Thank you for your time.

Reply: (edit)You will need to use the net use command to map a drive from inside a batch file. More info can be found on the net use command in the windows help files or by opening a command prompt window and typing net use /?
