I`ve connected a canoscan n670u to a machine on the network however users cannot access the scanner from boot up.If an administrator first uses the scanner, logs off and then a user logs on it works fine. Is this a permissions fault or a .dll file in the wrong location,or other. Help appreciated.

Andy, This is something new, network scanner??
Why would you share a scanner on the Network ? Don't you have to be near by to scan a document??? It’s just doesn’t make any sense.
I’d imagine to share the Scaner Folder where all the output goes not a scanner itself. In such a case you need only to create a local group of users that has a full control over this folder and send all the jobs to this shared folder.
I might understand you question wrong, so sorry about it :-)
