At Taormina, the program you paid for includes internet access. The only exception is that there is no internet on weekends. I don't have much knowledge about satellite internet, Click on the link below for program information

If I were your daughter I would try look up everything I need to know about the university at their home page, or check with acquaintenances like former students, facility members, etc.

Good luck on her studying aboard.

-That is the Auburn facility- in Sicily— yes it's part of italy, but
the facility I'm talking about is 15 miles SOUTH OF ROME. It
has no internet access— my daughter is THERE RIGHT NOW.

Alright.

Google for something like Satellite Internet Service Providers in Italy, Then ask the ISP of your choice about their coverage of the region where the University is located. Once you have narrow down to the right ISP, they will provide your daughter with their satellite internet card (wireless USB adapter) for the laptop that have USB ports.
