I am unable to connect my Samsung blu-ray DVD to my wireless router. I am using a Linksys router that my laptop connects to fine. It has been suggested that I turn off my firewall. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry, but no. I have a P3600 Blu-ray DVD player that has the capability to be hooked into the internet so I can stream netflix and Pandora through my TV. I am unable to because it has been suggested that I need to disable my firewall. I'm not sure I want to do this.

Here is the manual for your blu-ray player. Network connection instructions begin on page 31. Have you followed all the steps there?
You shouldn't have to disable any firewall features in the router itself to get the blu-ray player to work, and the firewall running on your other computer(s) is unrelated to the player. If you have concerns, try placing the player in your router's DMZ and see if that makes a difference.
