Does anyone know any good cisco router/switch simulator programs(hopefully free). I need to learn how to create VLAN's or implement routing protocols. If simulators arent available then does anyone know any good easy to understand websites.

This is probably what you are looking for, we used in in my cisco class. There is a trial version, but im not sure what all you can do in the trial version vs. the full version:
