Okay, I have a D-Link WBR-2310 and the signal from my router jeeps disappearing completely (it won't show up in the wireless networks connection box). But if I go to my router, turn off the modem and unplug the router, then plug it back in and turn the modem back on, It is there and my computer automatically connects.

Any idea to what is causing this?

Your wireless signal has nothing to do with the modem. I would suggest you don't power cycle the modem. The wireless signal only pertains to the router.

I would suggest you review the routers wireless settings. Some allow you to increase the output levels. Otherwise this is a sign of a failing router. I have a few on the shelf that don't do wireless correctly but wired works fine.
