I have successfully set up a 3 computer network sharing a cable broadband connection using a DLink DI-704P router. I have also installed a VNC and FTP server on all 3 computers which are all listening on different ports. I used the online wizard (virtual server) to setup port forwarding. I tested all 3 VNC servers from an "outside" computer and they seem to work fine. However, my problem comes when I test the FTP servers. I can connect to all 3 FTP servers initially but thats it. It seems the the FTP client (BPFTP) changes ports once connected (like all FTP programs...I Think). These port changes are random and unpredictable. Thus I don't even get a list of the files on the remote machine. I get different errors like "Invalid PORT command" and "Can't assign requested address". Is there a way to get my FTP servers working? Any advice help will be greatly appreciated.
