Hey guys/gals
Im trying to forward a port and all i need is the password and username to my router so i open that port. I read that the default is Admin/password but that doesnt seem to be working. I was wondering how i find this out. I have a actiontec MI-424-WR router.

Hi
If you do a hard reset of your router perhaps you can begin again and put Admin/password in to get into the utility.

For Actiontec MI424WR router, the factory issued login is admin and password is password.

If the above doesn't work and you don't remember the username & password you changed then you will have to reset the router to default settings by pressing a paperclip against the reset button on the back and hold it in for about 1 minute (don't power down). CAUTION: When you reset the router all user configured data including your login account to Verizon FiOS service will be irreversibly erased).

I've never seen that behavior in an HTML form, but I have seen password fields that will use multiple * for each character entered. It a bit of a security feature so if someone saw the field after you enetered your password in they would not be able to guess your password from the number of characters entered.

Try password1 for the password.
