Use a wire to connect to the router.
Start your web browser and type in:
You'll get a login screen. If you haven't changed the default password, leave it empty and click the submit button.
Navigate to the wireless -> Security and write down the wireless encrytion key 1.
This is needed for the configuration of the wireless connection of your computer.
Then minimize the browser window.
If you have installed a special driver for your wireless connection, you may find a little icon, to connect to a wireless network.
If not, doubleclick My Network Place, View Network Connections, doubleclick the wireless connection.
It should give you a list of wireless networks, to connect to.
Doubleclick your wireless network and click connect.
You should be asked for an encryption key, so type in the key, you wrote down and click connect.
Then close the Browser and disconnect the wire from your computer to use the wireless connection.
You may have to restart the computer to get it to work.

This should work.
