Router not accessing some Websites

Even though I resoved my problem by replacing the router I am still curious to see if anyone has an answer to this Problem.
I was using an earlier model Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless B router with both wired and wireless computers attached. I was having problems accessing several websites. I tried changing security settings, Java and just about everything but still could not get to several sites. I replaced the router with a new Linksys G router without changing any other setting and I now have no problems. Can anyone explain this?

www.jdaforum.org is the main one that I could never get to until I changed the Router.

I have a BEFW11S4 and used wirelessly I had no trouble accessing john dewey academy.

I makes no sense, I rehooked up the old router again and same thing, could not get on the site. I does not really matter now, but I was just curious as to why this was happening. Maybe firmware versions are different between yours and mine. Anyway, I have the G router now. If anyone else has any ideas I would love to hear from you.
