Router is slow, D-Link

April 22, 2012 at 22:03:47
Specs: Windows Vista
My Router is incredibly slow, what can I do?

I currently have a D-Link DSL-2680.
My ISP is TalkTalk.

I have had problems with it since day 1, I had it running at one point on 300Kbs when downloading, and for me that was good. But now I am running 9.8Kbs when downloading and sometimes slower. I did a speed test and that reports speeds of 0.2Mbs.

I have done a tracert and it's results were;

Click on my name above in this response and read my “how-to” guide titled, “Troubleshooting Wireless Issues” and go through the steps listed there.

The guide also applies to general router issues so give it a look, go through the steps listed there.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
